Feb 23rd 90s Hip Hop

Join us for some dope beats from the 90's hip-hop. CAN YOU DIG IT?
We'll feature influential artists and bands that shaped the distinctive sound. Iconic figures like Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G. dominated the East Coast-West Coast rivalry, while Nas and Jay-Z emerged as lyrical storytellers. Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg defined West Coast G-funk, and the Wu-Tang Clan brought a gritty, innovative sound from the East Coast. Missy Elliott and TLC brought a fresh, female perspective, while OutKast redefined Southern hip-hop. The decade also witnessed the rise of groups like A Tribe Called Quest, N.W.A, and Public Enemy, who addressed social issues with their powerful lyrics. The 90s hip-hop scene was a melting pot of creativity, diversity, and cultural impact.

Red Moon Comp

img

Saturday, Mar 30, 2-6p

The Red Moon comp is similar to a redpoint comp, but with a twist.
Boulders with more tops or completions are worth less points. Boulders with fewer tops are worth more.

Scoring
Climbs are ungraded and everyone competes in the same bracket. A climb is worth 1 (or 1/1) point if only one person tops it, if 57 people top then it’s worth (1/57) points. We'll add up all the fractions and that’s the value of your scorecard.
Why compete? If you climb strategically, you don't have be the strongest climber to get the most points. This comp is perfect for the first-time competitor and for the seasoned veteran looking for a creative challenge and the chance to win prizes.

Prizes
Everyone who competes has the chance to win raffle prizes like chalk bags, chalk brushes, and more.
3rd place: FREE 1 month prepaid membership (credit for existing recurring members)
2nd place: FREE pair of Unparallel climbing shoes
1st place: Cash prize + two cool prizes
